Philadelphia IT Firm Offers Salvation During Papal Visit

TTR Saves Workers From Work-at-Home Obstacles

Philadelphia —While the Papal visit will bring elation to many Greater Philadelphia residents, Delaware Valley workers face a daunting challenge.

Many are considering working from home because of an expected one million to one and a half million visitors will blanket the area, coinciding with the closing of numerous bridges, roads, trains and buses.

The problem is that many of these workers are ill-equipped to work effectively from home, according to Justin Colantonio, partner at Philadelphia-based Total Technology Resources (TTR), a full service technology and communications company. “Do your employees have the ability to access your network?,” says Colantonio.  “Will business calls be automatically directed to your home or cell phone? If the answer is ‘no’, then forget doing business as usual.”

TTR is offering companies a contingency plan that will keep businesses running, with little to no drop in productivity. During Papal week, Sept. 21 to the 28, TTR will provide Voice Over Internet Protocol Services (VoIP) for $75. This includes up to two VoIP phones, 2,000 minutes of time and direct forwarding of your main office phone number to the VoIP phone.

VoIP is portable, so your office phone goes wherever you are,” says Colantonio.” You’ll never miss an important call from your clients, and it provides your company with a contingency plan for whenever you can’t get into the office.”
